Description[]

A constitutional monarchy with cultural tendencies toward unreasonable heroics, surface ships and Cetaganda-style bio-enhancement of the family genome.

Split from our timeline[]

The Norse never lost control of England and the Normans decisively lost the Battle of Hastings. The high Viking era lasted much later into the middle ages and resulted in closer ties in the British Isles to Scandinavian countries than to France or the Austro-Hungarian empire. After some terrible wars of succession and politics, a couple great houses intermarried to establish a united monarchy that ruled over a combined, expansionist Norse-British empire.
